CVE-2023-0434Public exploit

Service crash via malformed time configuration

Published Jan 22, 2023 · Updated Apr 2, 2025

Improper input validation in pyLoad before 0.5.0b3.dev40 allows attackers to crash the web interface through malformed time settings. The time branch of ConfigParser.cast accepts arbitrary text instead of requiring numeric hours and minutes within valid ranges. Published assessments disagree on reachability: huntr.dev requires physical, high-privilege, user-assisted access, while NVD treats the path as unauthenticated and network reachable.
