CVE-2023-0424Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Subscriber-level stored XSS via unescaped reviews

Published Apr 24, 2023 · Updated Feb 4, 2025

Stored XSS in Mixail Sayapin MS-Reviews 1.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run script in review visitors' browsers. The plugin stores review content without sanitizing it and later renders that content without output escaping, so embedded script enters a visitor's page. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to submit a payload, but script execution requires another user to view the affected review and is bounded to that visitor's browser context.
