Cross-site scripting via unsafe SSR attribute rendering
Published Jan 20, 2023 · Updated Apr 2, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Builder.io Qwik before 0.1.0-beta5 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser via crafted SSR attributes. The SSR renderer appends attribute names without rejecting HTML syntax characters and writes class values without attribute escaping. Exploitation requires an application to render attacker-controlled attributes and a user to load the resulting page, enabling browser-context data access or modification.
