CVE-2023-0392

Code execution via unquoted update service path

Published Nov 8, 2023 · Updated Sep 4, 2024

Unquoted service path in Okta LDAP Agent before 5.18 allows local users with administrator privileges to execute arbitrary code. The LDAP Agent Update service passes an executable path containing spaces without surrounding quotation marks, allowing a planted executable in an earlier path segment to be selected. Exploitation requires high local privileges to place that file, and execution occurs when the agent next starts; prior installations can remain exposed.
