Stored XSS via unescaped Advanced Heading class
Published Feb 21, 2023 · Updated Mar 12, 2025
Stored XSS in WPSoul Greenshift before 5.0 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through an Advanced Heading block. The block renderer outputs the Additional CSS class value as an HTML attribute without validating or escaping attacker-supplied quotes and event-handler text. Contributor-level access is required to save the payload, and the script executes in a visitor's browser when the injected page is opened.
