Stored XSS via unescaped block CSS classes
Published Feb 21, 2023 · Updated Mar 12, 2025
Stored XSS in Bootstrapped Ventures Easy Affiliate Links before 3.7.1 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via block settings. The Easy Affiliate Link Gutenberg block copies the Additional CSS class option into page output without validating or escaping the supplied value. Contributor-level access and an existing affiliate link are required; the script runs when a user visits the crafted post or page, exposing that user's browser session to attacker-controlled actions.
