Stored XSS via unescaped block CSS class
Published Apr 17, 2023 · Updated Feb 6, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in W4 Post List before 2.4.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a visitor's browser. The block renderer places the Additional CSS class(es) option into page markup without validating or escaping an injected quote and event-handler payload. A Contributor can save the payload in a post block; it runs when another user previews or views the post and moves the pointer over the block.
