Published Feb 13, 2023 · Updated Mar 21, 2025
Stored XSS in Themify Portfolio Post before 1.2.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through shortcode attributes. The themify_portfolio_posts shortcode returns attributes such as image_h to a post or page without validation or output escaping, preserving injected event-handler markup. Contributor access is required to store the payload, and execution occurs when another user views the rendered portfolio content.
