CVE-2023-0356

Credential disclosure via Base64-encoded HTTP authentication

Published Jan 24, 2023 · Updated Jan 16, 2025

Weak credential encoding in Socomec MODULYS GP NET VISION 7.20 and earlier allows attackers to obtain credentials over HTTP. The web login page protects authentication data with reversible Base64 encoding rather than strong encryption. An unauthenticated attacker on an adjacent network must capture a user's HTTP login exchange; the result is credential disclosure only.
