Unauthenticated live camera access via unprotected endpoints
Published Mar 13, 2023 · Updated Jan 16, 2025
Missing authorization in Akuvox E11 all versions allows remote attackers to view and record live camera footage over the network. The libvoice camera service exposes /video.cgi, /jpeg.cgi, and /picture.cgi on port 8080 without implementing access checks. Any attacker with public or LAN network reachability can retrieve real-time images or video, with no reported ability through these routes to modify the device or interrupt service.
