Cloud and device access via cleartext login
Published Mar 13, 2023 · Updated Jan 16, 2025
Cleartext cloud authentication in Akuvox E11 111.30.2.19 and earlier allows remote attackers to gain cloud and device access. The firmware sends cloud-login traffic over unencrypted HTTP instead of protecting the exchange with HTTPS, exposing the authentication exchange. Knowledge of the target device's MAC address is the stated gate; the bounded consequence is unauthorized access to the cloud and device.
