Root access via fixed SSH credential
Published Mar 13, 2023 · Updated Jan 16, 2025
Hard-coded credentials in Akuvox E11 111.30.2.19 and earlier allow remote attackers to obtain root access through the default-enabled SSH server. The firmware exposes SSH by default and binds its root account to a password that device administrators cannot change. Network reachability to SSH is sufficient for unauthenticated root access once the fixed credential is known, granting control of the door-phone appliance.
