CVE-2023-0343Network attack vector

Message disclosure via static encryption key and IV

Published Mar 31, 2023 · Updated Jan 16, 2025

Cryptographic weakness in Akuvox E11 111.30.2.19 and earlier allows remote attackers to decrypt forwarded messages over a network. Its message-forwarding encryption function reuses a static key and initialization vector instead of generating a dynamic IV for each message. Exploitation requires access to encrypted traffic and user interaction, and the reported consequence is message disclosure without modification or service interruption.
