Subscriber-level attachment deletion via unprotected AJAX action
Published Mar 27, 2023 · Updated Feb 19, 2025
Missing authorization in OoohBoi Steroids for Elementor before 2.1.5 allows remote authenticated users to delete media attachments. The exopite-sof-file-batch-delete AJAX action accepts attacker-selected media-ids and processes deletion without adequate authorization. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and a forged cross-site request can trigger the same permanent content deletion.
