Browser script execution via unsanitized class titles
Published Jan 16, 2023 · Updated Apr 7, 2025
Stored XSS in Pimcore before 10.5.14 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in another user's browser via a crafted class title. The generateLayoutTreeFromArray method accepted title markup without the tag validation already applied to the adjacent name field, so the title was stored and rendered as active HTML. A developer-level account can plant the payload, and execution occurs when another user opens the affected Data Objects view, exposing that user's session and page content.
