CVE-2023-0312Network attack vector

Cross-site scripting via unencoded open-question title

Published Jan 15, 2023 · Updated Apr 7, 2025

Stored XSS in phpMyFAQ before 3.1.10 allows remote attackers to execute script in another user's browser through a crafted open question. The add.php answer form copies a stored open-question title into printQuestion without HTML-entity encoding before rendering it in the question field. Any user can submit an open question, but exploitation requires another user to open its answer form; script runs in that user's browser session.
