CVE-2023-0297Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote code execution via js2py pyimport

Published Jan 14, 2023 · Updated Apr 7, 2025

Code injection in pyLoad before 0.5.0b3.dev31 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through a crafted Click'N'Load request. The /flash/addcrypted2 route passes the unauthenticated jk parameter to js2py.eval_js, whose enabled pyimport statement exposes Python modules to injected JavaScript. Network access to the Web UI or Click'N'Load listener is sufficient, and injected Python runs with the pyLoad service account's privileges.
