Code execution via unvalidated DPA file parsing
Published Feb 8, 2023 · Updated Jan 16, 2025
Out-of-bounds write in Delta Electronics DIAScreen 1.2.1.23 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted DPA file. The DPA file parser fails to validate user-supplied data before writing it, allowing a write past the end of a buffer. Exploitation requires the target to open the file or visit a malicious page and executes code in the current DIAScreen process.
