Data tampering and service interruption via unchecked permissions
Published Apr 1, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Improper permission handling in NVIDIA vGPU Software allows local users to tamper with data or interrupt service. A kernel-mode layer handler fails to check memory permissions correctly before operating on memory. Low-privileged local access is required; the resulting service interruption and data modification do not expose data, and NVIDIA does not state whether interruption is a hang, crash, or reboot.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
