Stored XSS via unescaped shortcode attribute
Published Feb 13, 2023 · Updated Mar 21, 2025
Stored XSS in PickPlugins Product Slider before 1.13.42 allows remote authenticated users to run script in visitors' browsers. The wcps shortcode outputs its id attribute without validating and escaping attacker-controlled content, allowing an event handler to persist in a page or post. Contributor-level access is required to embed the shortcode, and execution requires a visitor to load and interact with the rendered slider.
