Stored XSS via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published Feb 6, 2023 · Updated Mar 25, 2025
Stored XSS in the Naver Map WordPress plugin through 1.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via shortcode attributes. The naver-map shortcode emits its y attribute into page output without validation or escaping, so crafted event-handler markup persists. Contributor-level access is required, and the script runs when a user visits the injected page.
