Code execution via unchecked DPA file parsing
Published Feb 2, 2023 · Updated Jan 16, 2025
Out-of-bounds write in Delta Electronics DOPSoft 4.00.16.22 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted DPA file. The DPA parser fails to validate user-supplied data before writing past the end of an allocated data structure. Execution requires a user to visit a malicious page or open the file, and the injected code runs in the DOPSoft process context.
