CVE-2023-0118Network attack vector

Administrator code execution via safe-mode template bypass

Published Sep 20, 2023 · Updated Sep 17, 2024

OS command injection in Foreman and Red Hat Satellite allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to execute code on the server. Public CNA and vendor materials state that crafted templates bypass safe-mode rendering, but do not identify the responsible function or mishandled operation. Exploitation requires remote administrator access and grants control within the operating-system privilege boundary of the Foreman service.
