Settings modification via missing save nonce validation
Published Jan 5, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Crocoblock JetWidgets For Elementor 1.0.12 and earlier allows remote attackers to modify plugin settings. The settings save() function accepts a request without validating a WordPress nonce before persisting attacker-chosen settings, including the SVG-upload option. Exploitation requires an authenticated site administrator to perform an attacker-induced action, after which enabled SVG uploads can expose the site to cross-site scripting.
