Stored XSS via unescaped shortcode attribute output
Published Feb 13, 2023 · Updated Mar 21, 2025
Stored XSS in Product Reviews for WooCommerce before 1.3.21 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in visitors' browsers. The jgm-feature-carousel shortcode writes the all-reviews-page attribute into page output without validation or context-appropriate escaping. Contributor-level access and a configured shop token are required; the payload runs when a visitor views the embedded shortcode.
