CVE-2023-0046Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via unrestricted log filename

Published Jan 4, 2023 · Updated Apr 9, 2025

Improper filename restriction in daloRADIUS before commit 2013c2d allows remote authenticated users to execute code through logging settings. The config-logging.php handler accepted any writable CONFIG_LOG_FILE path and persisted it without confining the destination to the log directory or requiring a .log suffix. Access to the operator configuration interface is required; a crafted path can turn attacker-controlled log content into server-executed PHP.
