Unauthenticated administrator script execution via unescaped dmsg parameter
Published Feb 27, 2023 · Updated Mar 10, 2025
Reflected XSS in Custom Add User 2.0.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts in an administrator's browser. The settings page writes the dmsg query parameter into its response without sanitization or output escaping. Exploitation requires an administrator to open a crafted request, after which the injected script runs with that user's browser privileges.
