Published Feb 13, 2023 · Updated Jan 14, 2025
Stored XSS in Crocoblock JetWidgets For Elementor before 1.0.14 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through shortcodes. The jw-posts shortcode inserts bg_position and bg_size attributes into an image-backed post widget without validating or escaping them. Contributor-level access and a post with a thumbnail image are required; the stored script runs when a visitor views the affected page.
