Authenticated script execution via incorrect JSON content type
Published Jan 10, 2023 · Updated Apr 9, 2025
Cross-site scripting in SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform 420 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a custom app. The Web Intelligence DHTML JSP returns JSON from some calls under an incorrect response Content-Type, so a consuming browser handles the response outside its intended JSON context. Exploitation requires a custom application to call the JSP directly and user interaction; successful script execution has limited confidentiality and integrity impact.
