Browser script execution via unencoded path extensions
Published Jan 10, 2023 · Updated Apr 9, 2025
Reflected XSS in SAP NetWeaver AS for ABAP and ABAP Platform 702 through 757 allows remote attackers to run script in a user's browser. The public /sap/public/bc/abap/docu service insufficiently encodes user-controlled illegal path extensions when generating documentation responses. Exploitation requires a user to request the crafted URL and permits limited reading or modification of browser-accessible application data.
