CVE-2023-0008Network attack vector

File disclosure via web-interface export race

Published May 10, 2023 · Updated Feb 10, 2025

File disclosure in the PAN-OS web interface allows remote authenticated users with read-write administrator access to export firewall files. A race condition in the web interface's export path causes an export request to reference a local firewall file, but the affected handler and competing operations are undisclosed. Exploitation requires high-privilege access to the management interface and provides file reads without reported modification or service interruption.
