Administrator-context script execution via stored payload
Published May 10, 2023 · Updated Jan 24, 2025
Stored XSS in PAN-OS on Panorama appliances allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another administrator's browser. The Panorama web interface persists administrator-supplied JavaScript without neutralizing it and later renders it to another administrator. A read-write administrator account is required; viewing the stored content lets the payload act within the victim administrator's browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=10.0 <10.0.7 changes=[{"at":"10.0.7","status":"unaffected"}]
