Authenticated server crash via invalid facing values
Published Sep 7, 2026 · Updated Sep 8, 2026
Improper input validation in PocketMine-MP before 4.0.6 allows remote authenticated users to crash the server with crafted game packets. InGamePacketHandler passes unchecked facing values from block-breaking and item-use packets into block interaction routines instead of restricting them to valid faces. Reaching the flaw requires an authenticated game session; an invalid negative or out-of-range face interrupts the server without reported data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
