Unauthenticated command execution via formpassword injection
Published May 8, 2026 · Updated May 8, 2026
OS command injection in DrayTek Vigor 2960 firmware before 1.5.1.4 allows remote attackers to execute commands through the CGI login handler. The handler passes the formpassword value without neutralizing shell metacharacters to otp_check.sh, which executes the injected command with web server privileges. The request needs a valid username for an account with mOTP enabled; successful exploitation grants command execution on the router.
