Unauthenticated file read via XML-RPC path arguments
Published Apr 30, 2026 · Updated Apr 30, 2026
Path traversal in Weaver E-cology before 10.52 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files through the unauthenticated XML-RPC endpoint. XmlRpcServlet passes attacker-supplied paths from WorkflowService.getAttachment and WorkflowService.LoadTemplateProp to file-reading operations without restricting them to an allowed directory. No credentials or user interaction are required, and successful requests disclose configuration files, database credentials, or other files readable by the service account.
