CVE-2022-50979

Operational disruption via unauthenticated RS485 preset switching

Published Feb 2, 2026 · Updated Feb 2, 2026

Unauthenticated preset switching in VibroLine and AVIBIAline 5.0 firmware allows attackers to disrupt operations via Modbus RS485. The configuration-preset switch function accepts Modbus RTU commands from the RS485 bus without authenticating the sender. Exploitation requires access to that bus and at least two stored presets; changing the active preset can interrupt normal machinery monitoring.
