Authenticated JavaScript execution via reflected tab parameter
Published May 10, 2026 · Updated May 10, 2026
Reflected XSS in AAWP 3.16 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through a crafted tab value in the settings page. The aawp-settings admin page reflects the tab query parameter into its HTML output without neutralizing injected event handlers or SVG markup. A logged-in victim must open the crafted URL, after which the script runs in that victim's browser under the affected site's origin.
