Browser script execution via reflected search input

Reflected cross-site scripting in Moodle LMS 4.0 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in users' browsers via course search. The course/search.php endpoint passes the unneutralized search parameter to the course renderer, which reflects it into the response page. No authentication is required, but a user must open the crafted search result; execution in that browser can expose session cookies and alter page content.
