CVE-2022-50942Public exploitNetwork attack vectorHinoki check available

Authenticated browser script execution via undisclosed DOM handling

Published Feb 1, 2026 · Updated Feb 1, 2026

Client-side XSS in Icinga Web 2 2.8.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. The disclosure identifies icinga.min.js and EventListener.handleEvent, but it does not name the untrusted input or faulty DOM operation. A low-privileged attacker must supply crafted content and induce another user to process it; execution is confined to the victim's web session and supports session theft or non-persistent phishing.
