Administrative access via trusted WBM role cookie
Published Jan 13, 2026 · Updated Jan 13, 2026
Privilege escalation in WAGO Controller PFC200 firmware 03.05.10(17) allows remote attackers to gain administrative access via a cookie. The /wbm/ interface trusts the client-supplied user cookie's name and roles fields, so changing both values to admin elevates the session. The public exploit requires a valid ordinary-user WBM session, despite the CNA description's assertion that authentication is unnecessary.
