Administrator code execution via import path traversal
Published Jan 13, 2026 · Updated Jan 13, 2026
Arbitrary file overwrite in e107 CMS 3.2.1 allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to replace server files. The Media Manager import handler accepts traversal sequences in upload_caption as the destination name while fetching attacker-chosen upload_url content. Administrator access is required; overwriting an executable PHP file enables server-side code execution under the web service account.
