Remote code execution via incomplete extension blacklist
Published Jan 13, 2026 · Updated Jan 13, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in ImpressCMS 1.4.4 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code through alternate PHP extensions. The extensionsToBeSanitized array in core/File/MediaUploader.php omits .php2, .php6, .php7, .phps, .pht, .phar, and other executable suffixes from its blacklist. No authentication or user interaction is required, and a successful upload executes with the web server's PHP privileges.
