Authenticated root command execution via file rename
Published Jan 13, 2026 · Updated Jan 13, 2026
OS command injection in Algo 8028 IP Doorphone firmware 3.3.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root. The fm-data.lua file-manager rename action interprets shell syntax embedded in the source POST parameter instead of neutralizing it. A valid web-interface password is required; injected commands run with root privileges and can fully control the appliance.
