Kernel memory leak via incomplete allocation unwind
Published Dec 30, 2025 · Updated Dec 30, 2025
Memory leak in the lpfc SCSI driver in Linux 5.14, 5.15 before 5.15.76, and 6.0 before 6.0.6 allows attackers to cause unspecified impact. On a VMID allocation failure, lpfc_create_port branches to an exit path that returns without releasing VMID resources or the SCSI host reference. Reachability requires an allocation failure during lpfc port creation; upstream material does not establish that an unprivileged user can force that failure.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
