Service interruption via unchecked ext2 geometry

Improper input validation in Linux kernel ext2 2.6.12 through 5.19.16 and 6.0 through 6.0.2 allows local users to interrupt service. The mount path in fs/ext2/super.c accepts a filesystem larger than its block device or a group too small for metadata, then processes attacker-controlled group counts. Reachability requires local access and a crafted filesystem to be mounted; the bounded consequence is loss of system availability, not data disclosure or modification.
