CVE-2022-50810

Resource leak via failed RapidIO FIFO allocation

Published Dec 30, 2025 · Updated Dec 30, 2025

Resource leak in the Linux kernel RapidIO character-device driver allows attackers to retain device references via unspecified vectors. In mport_cdev_open, a failed kfifo_alloc leaves chdev->dev's reference count incremented because the error path omits put_device. The published record does not identify required privileges or a direct service impact; the bounded consequence is a leaked device reference when FIFO allocation fails.
