Authenticated command execution via unfiltered services parameter
Published Dec 30, 2025 · Updated Dec 30, 2025
OS command injection in affected SOUND4 processors through 2.x allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as www-data. The www-data-handler.php script passes the services POST value to /usr/local/bin/www-data-handler.sh --restartsrv without neutralizing shell metacharacters. Access to an authenticated web session is required, and injected commands run with the www-data account's filesystem and process permissions.
