Service interruption via unchecked failed SKB clone
Published Dec 30, 2025 · Updated Dec 30, 2025
A NULL-pointer dereference in the Linux iwlwifi MEI receive filter interrupts service after an SKB clone operation fails. The receive path in drivers/net/wireless/intel/iwlwifi/mei/net.c dereferences the clone returned by skb_clone() without first checking for NULL. The reachable actor and means of inducing allocation failure are undisclosed; the fault causes a kernel oops and can produce a reboot when panic-on-oops is enabled.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
