Incorrect DMA direction handling in the QAT crypto driver in Linux allows attackers to trigger a DMA-API warning during crypto self-tests. The qat_alg_sgl_to_bufl mapping logic applies DMA_BIDIRECTIONAL to separate input and output scatter lists, creating unsupported overlapping write mappings.
