Application crash via oversized SFTP password
Published Dec 22, 2025 · Updated Dec 22, 2025
Denial of service in CobianSoft Cobian Reflector 0.9.93 RC1 allows local users to crash the application through an SFTP password field. The SFTP task configuration dialog processes an 8,000-byte password pasted from the clipboard without enforcing the field's input-size boundary. Exploitation requires interactive access to the Windows user interface, creation of an SFTP source, and use of Test settings; the demonstrated consequence is an application crash.
